ANNOUNCEMENTS
February 2008: Accelovation Inc. is now
NetBase
Effective immediately, Accelovation is now NetBase.
In moving from a single
product company to a multi-solution research platform, we believe this
new identity better reflects our expanded focus and product
capabilities.
“Our new company name, NetBase, is derived from our continued
focus on organizing and interrelating information on the web and other
content sources to unlock the potential of digital information for
organizations.” - Jonathan Spier, CEO, NetBase.
Although our company name has changed, our focus has not:
providing tools to help knowledge workers find actionable insights
smarter and faster.
February 2008: Elsevier and NetBase Form
Strategic Alliance
Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher of science and health information with 30 million users worldwide, and NetBase have formed a strategic alliance to deliver a revolutionary research tool designed for R&D professionals called illumin8.
illumin8, is a hosted research tool designed to help scientists, engineers and R&D professionals quickly discover and explore organizations, products, technical approaches, and other interrelated information across industries. illumin8 is powered by NetBase, and combines our business-relevant web content with the vast amount of Elsevier’s full-text articles, scientific abstracts, and patents. In addition, illumin8 susbscribers will be able to easily access the full-text of Elsevier journals if they have an online subscription to the journal through ScienceDirect, the world’s largest online platform of science, technical and medical (STM) content.
The result is a significant reduction of time and work required by
researchers to:
- Get up to speed in new areas
- Find technical solutions
- Map technology landscapes
- Conduct competitive intelligence
